Judging

The contestant order will be randomly assigned prior to the start of each round. Each contestant will be given a number.

Scores do not carry over from the prelims to the finals. Contestants start from scratch in the finals.

The contest is judged "in the blind" by professional musicians. That is, the judges will not be in the audience. Score sheets will not be available.

Judges, if needed will be allowed to confer to insure consistency in the scoring process.

Judging is based on the following:

50%-Entertainment Value (includes intonation, taste, difficulty, dynamics, expression, arrangement).
25%-Tone
25%-Timing
